About Broadbent


Thomas Broadbent was founded in 1864 providing engineering services to the local textile industry across the north of England. During its early years the company built a diverse range of products including steam engines, cars and large overhead travelling cranes.

In the late 1800s Broadbent concentrated on designing and manufacturing centrifuges, and by the early 1900s the range of centrifuges had expanded to include all emerging industries.

Today, Thomas Broadbent has extensive dedicated in-house manufacturing facilities in Huddersfield capable of manufacturing and testing equipment to international standards. They manufacture Centrifuges for almost every type of industry including Petro Chemical, Paper, Sugar, Starch, Bio Ethanol, Pharmaceutical, Flue Gas Desulphurisation and Minerals etc.

They have recently launched a new range of High Speed Decanter Centrifuges. This new range of Centrifuges called the TB Range and has been designed predominately for Municipal and Industrial Waste Water Sludges.
