Brettex: Health & Safety

Health & Safety Within Brettex

All Brettex companies fully recognise and embrace our responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, ensuring that we are fully committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all our employees (including external partners, customers and visitors), and we consider this to be paramount in everything we are involved in.

Brettex: Health & Safety

Our commitment to, and achievement of, the Quality, Safety and Environmental Standards and Accreditations ensures that Brettex continuously encourage and embrace our company-wide Health and Safety ethos, from our Company Directors down to our on-site operatives.

In order to achieve, and continue to achieve re-accreditation of our numerous certifications and accreditations, we ensure that we regularly risk assess, process audit, and set new or revised targets for all our practices, thus ensuring that any potential issues are managed effectively.

This continuous assessment of our practices has enabled us to achieve an exemplary level of safety and teamwork, resulting in zero RIDDORs over the course of the company's history! We investigate all Near Miss Incidents thoroughly to prevent any serious or disabling accidents following the principles of Heinrich and Bird's Accident Pyramids - which states that for every major injury there are about 30 minor injuries and 300 non-injury incidents, and which strongly asserts that documenting information about close calls and near misses will reinforce barriers and minimise the number of no-injury accidents - ultimately reducing the probability of more severe accidents.

Health & Safety Performance

Brettex: Health & Safety Fiqures

We strongly believe that our robust reporting, investigation and documenting of these near misses leads to continuous development of more robust safety systems and procedures, reinforcing these continuously with all our staff.

Brettex is a registered member of several technical quality and health and safety accreditation organisations which regularly audit and examine Brettex processes to ensure its highest quality practices that conform to current legislation and recommended best practices.
